Ryan Mee | Head Coach
Now entering his fifth season at Vassar College, Coach Mee came to the Brewers for his first head coaching position in the summer of 2018, after serving as an assistant coach at five prior destinations of various levels.
The 2021-22 season was a historic one for the Vassar Men’s Basketball Pro- gram when the Brewers won the Liberty League Championship, earning the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Despite canceling the 2020-21 season due to Covid-19, Mee kept the Brewers active with weekly practices and a senior day exhibition against Bard. The Vassar team also earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the second consecutive year after posting a team GPA of 3.5. Currently, there are six players on the Vassar roster who attended the Elite Clinic from the three years Mee has hosted.
In 2019-20, Mee helped lead the Brewers to their first Liberty League post-season appearance since the 2017-18 season, with the team placing fifth in the conference. In his first season at Vassar, Mee helped the Brewers to an 11-14 record, went 4-2 against top-three teams in the league, and had two 1,000-point scorers in Alex Seff ‘19 and Paul Grinde ‘19.
Mee served as an assistant coach at Division I Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, before Vassar under legendary head coach Bob McKillop. While at Davidson, Mee helped in the recruiting efforts while also focusing on day-to-day coaching responsibilities, player development, game and practice preparation, on-court coaching, social media management, scouting report preparation, and community outreach.
As an undergraduate, Mee was a four-year varsity letter winner at Rochester, serving as team captain in 2004-05. He helped the Yellowjackets to four NCAA Tournament appearances as his squads went a combined 97-17 over his four seasons as part of the winningest class in the program’s history.
Patrick Stasiak | Assistant Coach
Patrick Stasiak joined the Brewers coaching staff in the fall of 2021. He also serves as a facilities assistant.
Stasiak comes to Vassar following three seasons as the men's basketball director of operations at Division I Colgate University. He was responsible for coordinating all travel for the program, aiding the coaching staff with analytical studies to improve team production, organize film breakdown, and help the development and growth of the student-athletes, and adding resources for the coaching staff.
In the 2019-20 season, Stasiak helped Colgate the school's most total wins (25) and most conference wins (14) in program history. During his first two seasons with the Raiders, Colgate posted its first two 20-win seasons, combining for a 49-20 overall record and 27-9 mark in Patriot League competition.
His first season with Colgate saw the Raiders win their first Patriot League regular season and tournament title in 23 years and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1996.
Before Colgate, Stasiak spent two seasons as the assistant men's basketball coach at SUNY Cortland. In the 2017-18 season, he assisted the team to 18 wins with a 13-5 mark in the SUNYAC. Other roles included the recruitment of student-athletes, scouting and game preparation, film operations, and managing the team's social media.
From 2014-17, Stasiak served as the recruiting coordinator and assistant head runner at Hoop Group Elite Camp in Reading, PA. He coordinated room assignments for athletes, coaches, and staff members, oversaw film operations, and assisted in various day-to-day camp operations.
As an undergraduate student at SUNY Cortland, Stasiak was a student assistant coach for the men's basketball team and the head coach for the Cortland AAU U-12 Basketball Club.
A native of Williamsville, N.Y., Stasiak graduated from SUNY Cortland in May 2017 with a degree in Childhood Education and a concentration in Social Science.
